Football Regular season Wrap Up

The Bears kicked off their season with a 17-7 win at Woodhaven, one of their biggest Downriver League competitors. They continued their winning streak with shutouts the next two weeks at Lincoln Park and Taylor, winning 38-0 and 20-0 respectively. The following week, the Allen Park game was cancelled due to COVID-19 outbreaks on both sides. The Southgate game was also cancelled and forfeited to Southgate due to lack of an opponent. The Bears returned to the field on October 23 for the Downriver League Championship against Gibraltar Carlson, winning 30-29 in overtime. They carried their success through to the first round of playoffs against Lincoln Park on October 30, winning 45-7. Playoffs continued November 6 with the Bears defeating Detroit Renaissance in an impressive performance. Their next game is November 13 at RHS.
