COVID-19 might be stopping the RHS Drama Club from putting on a traditional in-person show, but they have bigger plans when it comes to their upcoming performance.
RHS Drama is presenting She Kills Monsters on December 4-6 using a Zoom meeting as a thematic medium.
“A comedic romp into the world of fantasy role-playing games, She Kills Monsters tells the story of Agnes Evans as she leaves her Midwestern childhood home, following the death of her younger sister, Tilly, ” a summary on the RHS Drama Facebook page said.
The show is conveyed through a video conference amongst friends, with the virtual setting also doubling as a safer alternative for the actors involved in the current pandemic.
“When Agnes finds Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, however, she stumbles into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was Tilly’s refuge,” RHS Drama Facebook Page said.
If you are interested in watching the performance, the recording will be available on the website ShowTix4U for $5.
“Be sure to watch it while you can, due to copyright laws it will only be available for rent from December 4th – December 6th,” RHS Drama Facebook Page said.
She Kills Monsters is directed by seniors Caleb Ave-Lallemant and Emily Brooks.
This show stars RHS students senior Isaac Bolton as Miles, senior Olivia Cantwell as Evil Tina, senior Emily Dodge as Tilly Evans, senior Julia Tully as Vera, and many more.
“Even though this year has not gone as planned, we are still going to put on a phenomenal show,” said RHS Drama Facebook Page.
